On 25 September 2020, Mr Peter Foo, President and CEO of UOB China, was named as one of the “2020 Shanghai Financial Industry Innovation Figures” at the 10th Shanghai Financiers Awards. The Shanghai Financiers Awards is a prominent award jointly organised by Xinhua News Agency, the nation's leading media group, and supported by four financial governing bodies including Shanghai Financial Work Bureau, the People's Bank of China Shanghai Head Office, China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission Shanghai Bureau and the China Securities Regulatory Commission Shanghai Bureau. Mr Foo was the only Singaporean banker to receive the honour this year. The award was in recognition of Mr Foo's contributions in leading UOB China to provide clients with innovative financial products and services in supply chain financing, foreign currency solutions, precious metal trading, cash management and foreign direct investment consulting services.

On August 28th, the Asian Banker Banker's Choice Awards 2020 was held in Shenzhen. The awards recognised strong financial companies for their commitment to adding value to upstream and downstream partners through supply chain financial solutions.

At the event, UOBC and Lenovo Group won the "Best Financial Supply Chain Management in China" award for their joint supply chain finance solutions.
