When it comes to staying alert and productive at home, preparing a warm cup of tea to kickstart the day often finds itself on the top of my list. There’s just something inherently comforting about tea that puts it a cut above other morning beverages. Because like everyone else, we’ve had a little more time to linger in the kitchen, we have curated four different homemade tea recipes that you can recreate with really accessible props and ingredients.

Getting Started
To get started, you would need to prepare:
1. Your ingredients
2. A kettle
3. A teapot
4. Teacups (or any cup of your choice)
5. A tea strainer
You Would Need:
1. A Green Tea Teabag
2. Dried Chrysanthemum Flowers
3. Goji Berries
Get it from Shopee:
Brewing Guide:
1. Place green tea teabag into a teapot and pour 3 cups of boiling water over it. Let it steep for 3 minutes.
2. Grab a handful of dried chrysanthemum flowers and goji berries and place them into the teapot.
3. Gently stir the teapot and let it steep for another 3 minutes.
4. Place a tea strainer over your cup and pour tea.
5. Enjoy!
Pair It With:
A slice of cake from your favourite local bakery and a relaxing Spotify playlist.
Flavour Profile:
Slightly earthy with a tinge of lemon.
Benefits:
Packed with antioxidants to protect your body from cell damage. You Would Need:
1. Butterfly Blue Pea Flowers (dried or fresh) (Shop)
2. A Slice of Lemon
3. Honey

Brewing Guide:
1. Place 10-15 Butterfly Blue Pea flowers into a teapot and pour 3 cups of boiling water over.
2. Add a tablespoon of honey.
3. Mix well and let steep for 3 minutes.
4. Place a tea strainer over your cup and pour tea.
5. Squeeze a slice of lemon into cup. (Watch it turn purple!)
6. Add a couple of ice cubes if you would like your tea cold.
7. Enjoy!
Flavour Profile:
A mild lemon taste that is extremely aromatic. Ends off with a slight minty flavour.
Benefits:
Has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties to ease the symptoms of sinus, cramps and headaches.
You Would Need:
1. Lemon Myrtle Leaves (Shop)
2. Mint Leaves (Shop)
Brewing Guide:
1. Place a small handful of Lemon Myrtle leaves into a teapot and pour 3 cups of boiling water over.
2. Add 5-10 mint leaves.
3. Mix well and let steep for 3 – 5 minutes.
4. Place a tea strainer over your cup and pour tea.
5. Enjoy!
Pair It With:
A detox clay mask and a lighthearted conversation over Facetime with your friends.
Flavour Profile:
A mildly sweet base with a slightly raw undertone.
Benefits:
Relieves stomach problems and has anti-inflammatory properties.
You Would Need:
1. A Black Tea base of your choice
2. Spanish Needle Flowers (Shop)
3. Raisins

1. Place a black tea base of your choice (we chose English Breakfast Tea) into a teapot and pour 3 cups of boiling water over it. Let it steep for 3 minutes.
2. Grab a small handful of Spanish Needle flowers and raisins and place them into the teapot.
3. Gently stir the teapot and let it steep for another 3 minutes.
4. Place a tea strainer over your cup and pour tea.
5. Enjoy!
Pair It With:
A craft activity and a breakfast toast.
