UOB Myanmar awarded scholarships to 15 outstanding undergraduates from the University of Yangon and the Yangon University of Economics at an awards ceremony on 23 February 2017.  

The scholarships were provided under the UOB University Scholarship programme. Each recipient was selected based on their academic achievements, language proficiency and career aspirations. Under the programme, the students’ tertiary studies will be fully funded by the Bank. 

2017 Scholarship winners

The Class of 2020: Scholarship winners from both University of Yangon and Yangon University of Economics announcing their dream job.

The latest batch of scholars includes five students from the University of Yangon and 10 from the Yangon University of Economics, all of whom are in their first year of undergraduate studies. This latest cohort of scholars brings to 45 the total number of students who have benefitted from the UOB University Scholarship programme to date. 

The UOB University Scholarship programme, launched in February 2015, is a partnership between UOB, the University of Yangon and​ Yangon University of Economics to help top students from all backgrounds, including those who are less privileged, to realise their potential.​
