Global Food Security & Sustainability Summit

Ernest Tan, Head of Agribusiness and Animal Protein, Sector Solutions Group, was invited to present UOB’s views on financing the future of food during the Global Food Security and Sustainability Virtual Summit 2021 on 17 September 2021. The summit, which was supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), brought together stakeholders from governments, private businesses and non-government organisations to address the current disruptions and possible solutions on the world food supply chain.

During the summit, Ernest highlighted the challenges faced by the food and agriculture sector in Asia, how UOB's Sustainable Finance Frameworks lower the barriers for such companies to obtain sustainable financing and the benefits of financial supply chain management.

This event provided UOB the opportunity to showcase our expertise and highlight our capabilities in supporting the sustainable development of the food and agriculture industry.
